Hey guys! On a Monday morning we arrived to Paris and as usual during the first day of a trip, we took it slow. We headed to our hotel, Castille. We hanged out for a while in our beautiful room and enjoyed it and the rest of the hotel. It was stunning and they really do deserve their five starts.
Valtteri and I were first-timers in Paris so we gently started to check out the neighborhood where our hotel was located. Right next to our hotel was a huge store of Chanel and after a little walk we found stores of Alexander McQueen, Louis Vuitton and several other luxurious brands. We walked for quite a while and realized we hadn’t eaten anything during the whole day. We had a little salad at a café and enjoyed macarons afterwards, of course, since we were in Paris.
After having a little late lunch we headed to the huge, luxurious department store of Paris: Galeries Lafayette Haussmania. After walking in we had a surprising situation… I was trying out a bag when I heard a voice of a young woman who asked with a French accent if we were from Finland. We said yes and she told us she had read our blogs. You can imagine how shocked we were!
Even though I write in English and I update some of my other social media channels in English I never really think about the fact that I also have readers from other countries than Finland. This little moment with the reader gave me a lot of inspiration. I’m bummed that I was so surprised about the situation that I didn’t say the things that I would’ve wanted to but just stared with my mouth open.
We went through the department store and then headed to the roof top terrace. Actually we found the place because of one of you who told us that the building and the terrace are worth seeing for. The view was unbelievable and we saw all the way to the Eiffel Tower. So thank you for that! 🙂
After that we headed back to the hotel and spent the rest of the day to planning the upcoming days. We were super busy before the trip so we didn’t really have time do that before we left…
