BOO! Halloween is just around the corner so I decided to bake some creepy cupcakes in the celebration of it. They turned out super tasty so if you want to spice up you Halloween, keep on reading…
INSTRUCTIONS:
Pre-heat the oven to 160 C° and place the cupcake holders in a cupcake pan.
Put all the dry ingredients in a big bowl and mix them all together. Add in the softened butter and mix well with a mixer. Mix milk and vanilla extract, and add them into the mix. Add eggs and the black food color and mix the dough well.
Spoon the dough into the cupcake holders filling 3/4 of the space. Bake them for 20 minutes and let them cool down under a kitchen cloth.
Start preparing the topping by mixing powdered sugar and butter into a foam. Add in vanilla extract, milk, cacao powder and black food color.
Start preparing the filling by mixing glucose syrup and red food color. Add in the sour red straps and mix well so that the sourness will catch in the syrup. After the cupcakes have cooled down, dig the middle of them with, for example, a knife. Put some straps inside the cupcakes and you’re ready to ice them.
Ice them with a piping tube. Slit some cuts on the icing and place some rice krispies on them. Pour some of the colored syrup on cuts.
Enjoy, if you dare! 😉
